Sandwiches, Onion Rings,
and Mustang Pride!

Join the boosters of the Mira Costa Football Program at the 2026 Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair as we once again rock the Hometown Fair with our World Famous (okay, at least South Bay Famous!) Tri-Tip Sandwiches!

Our Tri-Tip Booth is the #1 fundraiser for Mira Costa Football, which helps more than 160 student-athletes play the game they love. Most parents and fans don't realize the state covers less than 10% of the cost of each player's participation in high school football.

Fundraisers like the Hometown Fair Tri-Tip booth are critical to keeping our programs strong—and giving our kids the opportunity to compete, build character, develop confidence, and learn the life skills that will help them become tomorrow's leaders.

This Year, We're Adding Some Serious Girl Power!

This Year, We're Adding Some Serious Girl Power!

For the first time, we're teaming up with the Mira Costa Girls Flag Football Program as they launch their inaugural Hometown Fair booth! The boys' football program is proud to help support the girls' program as they kick off this exciting new tradition. And they're bringing something delicious to the table: freshly made Onion Rings, cooked by a chef from Arthur J!

So come hungry. Leave happy. And support One United Football Community at Mira Costa—Boys Football and Girls Flag Football!

Athletes Helping Athletes

When you pre-purchase your Tri-Tip Sandwiches and Onion Rings, you'll also be helping kids throughout Los Angeles get the opportunity to play sports.

10% of all pre-purchased food sales will be donated to Westcoast Sports Associates, a local nonprofit whose mission is to ensure every child has the opportunity to participate in sports while learning the teamwork, discipline, confidence, and life skills that come with being part of a team.

First Responders & Educators Eat Free!

We'll be honoring local First Responders and Educators from the Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach communities with free Tri-Tip Sandwiches and Onion Rings.

The first responders who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe deserve a well-earned meal on us. And the educators who inspire, challenge, and guide our students every day deserve our thanks, too.

These are the people who help make our communities stronger, safer, and better—and we're proud to recognize them.

Welcome to Coaches Corner

We're also introducing Coaches Corner at the Touchdown Headquarters of the Hometown Fair!

Come meet coaches from Mira Costa Boys Football, Mira Costa Girls Flag Football, and BCS Gold. It's a chance to connect with the people helping shape the next generation of athletes—and the future of Mira Costa football.

Because building a great program takes more than players on the field. It takes coaches, parents, teachers, volunteers, and an entire community behind them.

A Mustang Tradition

Passing the Tongs

For years, the Tri-Tip Booth has been the soul of our football program — built by parents, fueled by smoke, and carried forward by every kid who's ever laced up cleats in green and gold. This year, founding chairman Jeremy Shelton hands the apron to new chairman Steve Jacobson.

Ron and Laurie Garcia · Orginal Pitbosses of Mira Costa Tri-Tip Hometown Booth

Ron and Laurie "Tri-Tip" Garcia were the original pit bosses who ran the Mira Costa Tri-Tip booth from the first fair until their retirement in 2023, when they handed the reins to Jeremy Shelton. They are the reason we are here today, and we all owe them our gratitude for the playbook they gave us. Now it is our job to honor them with our thanks.

The Garcias are proud owners of Brothers Burritos, so please patronize one of their restaurants, grab a burrito, and tip a cap to the original Tri-Tip pit bosses!

Jeremy Shelton · 2nd Chairman who took MC Football Tri-Tip to the next level

The original pit master and the man who turned a park grill into a Manhattan Beach annual institution. Jeremy spent the past 4 years rallying the parents, perfecting the rub, and refining the binder that is the MBFS playbook, which every chairman after him will leverage to rock the Tri-Tip booth at the fair. Jeremy took what the Garcias started and put his own stamp on the booth. His legacy will never be forgotten.

Jeremy Shelton, along with his second-in-command, Andrew Shevin, are both MBFS 2026 Ring of Honor inductees and Members of the Hometown Fair Hall of Fame!

Steve Jacobson · Current Chairman who is looking to build up on the legacies of the ones came before him.

Stepping in with the same fire and a fresh batch of ideas, Steve Jacobson, is taking over for the legends who came before me— the Garcias, Jeremy Shelton, and the rest of the amazing Mira Costa Boosters over the years who have raised the bar—but I am up for the challenge! I am going to bring my own set of ideas, as this is now my baby for the next three years. So let's rock!

As a dad of both my son, who plays football, and my daughter, who plays Flag Football, it is my honor to help both programs come together to create Touchdown Corner at the Hometown Fair to generate the revenue they need so these amazing young men and women can compete in football!

Bringing boys' and girls' football together at Costa is something I am super proud of, but it will mean nothing if we don't uphold the standards set before me!

Where the Dollars Go

Mira Costa Football!

Every dollar raised at the booth goes directly to the program to fund Boys Football at Mira Costa and, now with Touchdown Corner, Girls Flag Football as well!

Mira Costa Boys Football

Mira Costa Boys Football, made up of over 115 boys who spent five weeks in the summer and then went straight to camp, is ready to rock the gridiron and show us how hard work will pay off as we develop these young men into the next generation of successful professionals.

Come grab a Tri-Tip sandwich so they can entertain us and follow their dreams on the gridiron. Friday night lights with Mira Costa football isn't happy without your support, so thank you in advance for helping support our boys!

What many also dont know is that in helping football, you are also helping many other programs that benefit from Mira Costa Football!

Mira Costa Girls Flag Football

Our Girls Flag Football team is the newest team at Mira Costa and also the fastest-growing sport for girls in the US today. **Led by our own JR Tavai, ** who played football at Mira Costa, graduated in 2011, then moved on to USC and Professonal Football, and is now the Head Flag Football coach of what is becoming the best Flag Football Program in the South Bay!

Stop by the Flag Football booth for your Beef Fat Onion Rings and support our fabulous Girls Flag Football team as they build the foundation of the premier flag football program in the South Bay.

What the Community Says

★★★★★

"Every Hometown Fair, the line at the Tri-Tip Booth is the longest one — and the friendliest. These parents put on a clinic. Best sandwich in the South Bay."
